Reflection
Looking back on my old college work has really shown me how much I’ve grown—both personally and academically. When I revisited my earlier projects and assignments, I could see how my skills, confidence, and perspective have developed over time. Back then, I focused mostly on completing tasks and meeting requirements, but now I approach my work with a stronger sense of purpose, curiosity, and confidence in my abilities.
Seeing the progress I’ve made has been really rewarding.
I can recognize how much my writing, critical thinking, and communication skills have improved, but I also notice how I’ve grown as a person—learning to take initiative, manage challenges, and stay adaptable. Reflecting on my past work reminded me of how every class, project, and experience has shaped who I am today.
Overall, revisiting my old work has been a reminder of the value of persistence and growth. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s next, but taking a step back helped me appreciate how far I’ve already come and how much potential I still have moving forward.
2023
I am a proud Kelley student who is driven by my goals. The Executive Secretary of the Kelley Student Government. A daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, and child of God. I am a passionate feminist and leader who puts effort into everything I do. I am run by anxiety and stress but also kindness and compassion. I am an introvert but a leader. I am filled with oxymorons that make me strong and unique. There is worry in my mind but love in my heart. But, most importantly, through everything I do, God resides
I want to become:
I want to become a lawyer. I have always been more career focused and driven, so my future job is very important to me. I want to be a lawyer to help others, interact with a plethora of different people, never have a dull day, and live a comfortable lifestyle. I want all of these things, but most importantly, I want to become an even better Christian and cherish my relationship with god each and every day. Everything I stated above is important, but this takes 1st priority in my life. I want to volunteer in the church, raise my kids in a Christian lifestyle, and find community amongst those of the same faith. I find comfort in knowing this is my future.
My e-portfolio is starting to form. I am keeping all my documents in a folder and slowly uploading them as I make the site. It will hopefully come together and look good by the end, but I know this is just the start of it even though the class is ending.
2025
I am the past President of the Kelley Indianapolis Student Government and have participated in multiple student-led organizations such as Women in Business and the Director of Regatta. I have worked to put my foot in the door of businesses by going on shadowings and taking on a manager position. I am working towards a degree in Human Resources with a Pre-law track to McKinney School of Law.
I want to leave my mark on the business world. I want to become a lawyer, mom, friend, and best friend. As I work toward my law degree I want to work in the HR field to help provide accomodations and make sure employees know their rights and protections. I see all of these as very important in my life. I have always been more career focused and driven, so my future job is very important to me. I want to be a lawyer and work in HR to help others and interact with a plethora of different people and cultures.
