Honors ICORE

The Full Story

The Honors I-CORE Final Presentation marked the culmination of a semester of collaboration and creativity. My team of four developed a product concept and turned it into a practical business model. Our project centered on a generative AI smart band called “VitalVibe,” designed to help children manage emotional dysregulation by tracking and supporting their emotional well-being. The main objective was to demonstrate the band’s reliability and data accuracy, which could make it eligible for insurance coverage.

Reflection

Participating in the Honors I-CORE Final Presentation was one of the most impactful experiences I’ve had as an Honors student. This project challenged me to think critically, collaborate effectively, and apply what I’ve learned in a real-world context. Working with my team to develop the “VitalVibe” smart band not only strengthened my understanding of business fundamentals like marketing, finance, and operations but also taught me how these areas come together to create a cohesive and viable business model.

Through this experience, I learned the importance of communication, flexibility, and trust within a team. Each of us brought different strengths to the project, and learning how to combine those perspectives was a valuable lesson in leadership and collaboration. It also pushed me to think creatively and problem-solve under pressure, both essential skills in business and in life.

Overall, this project helped me grow into a more well-rounded Honors student. It showed me how to take initiative, think strategically, and approach challenges with both an analytical and innovative mindset. I came away from the experience with a deeper appreciation for teamwork and a stronger foundation in the principles of business.
